EDUCATION TOPIC: Two education topics. 1) Mite Monitoring and Control. Last month we covered how to do a mite check. Tonight we why monitoring is needed, how frequently to check, and different methods of control. If mite the population in your hive is not controlled not only is your hive threatened but other hives in the area can be affected. 2) Master Gardner, Dave Haupt will talk about “Growing flowers best suited for pollinators and in particular Honey Bees”. His talk is suited for all types of gardners, absolute beginners to experienced.
